What is CEREC and Benefits
Have you ever had a cracked tooth or lost a dental filling? Have you had root canal treatment on a tooth that was broken? Then you could use a CEREC Crown. What would happen if we told you that we can complete your crown start to finish in just a one simple visit with a CEREC crown? Would you want to know more about CEREC crowns?
At our dental office, we will give you information about CEREC. It's all because we know your dental health is very important for you and also we know the importance of your time. That’s why we work hard to provide you with excellent dental crowns as quickly as possible by using the advanced dental technology CEREC.
What is CEREC?
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic) is an advanced dental device which we use in our office that allows our patient’s diagnosis of the dental problem and fix it with new crowns in place, all on the same day. In short, it’s a new modern method of replacing tooth restorations.
CEREC uses the CAD/CAM technology to create your CEREC crown in one visit. Your new tooth is milled out of hard ceramic and cemented to your tooth after Dr. Teramoto has prepared it. The restorations created are metal-free and tooth-colored to replace your tooth to its natural beauty, strength, and function.
Advantages of CEREC:
With our advanced CEREC device, we are able to do same-day restorations on all procedures including inlays, onlays, crowns, and even some bridges, often at a lower cost to you. Some of the advantages to using CEREC are:
- Maximum procedures can be done in one dental visit
- You save money and time
- Less painful injections due to single-visit
- No need to take messy impressions
- No need to have any temporary restoration for in-between dental visits
- It has the ability to save as much natural tooth structure as possible
- Long lasting restorations may last over 10 years
- Replaces teeth to natural beauty, function, and strength
- Metal-free restorations
